Cade knew there was only one thing to say.
"I have questions,"Cade said."Believe me when I tell you that you'll want to answer them."Cade felt something he wasn't accustomed to something rare it took a moment to name it.Uncertainty.
Zach looked at him for a second like he was insane,and then his face split into a smile.
"Zach,did you hear me？"
"Right.”Zach said."That's all i can tell you."
Cade allowed himself a small smile.
Zach considered."I'll clear my schedule."

"You can't do this."Graves said."I know things about you that you'd never admit to anyone else."Cade simply stood there.
That was crazy.Cade had no interest in trying to explain it to Graves.Zach's life was his responsibility until one or the other of them was dead ahead.*1

He entered the room，(and) *2Cade saw no reason to wait.The others left them alone.

"You know I was a little surprised to see you with Cade.Not supposed to engage.Graves's order."
"How do you know?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about."
Zach got it in a second.
"But that,of course——oh,yes,that explains it."
Cade just hoped they hadn't gotten any smarter.
"I'm willing to call it random chance."
